I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider dedicated to empowering others to understand what’s driving their reactions — and helping change what isn’t working.

I specialize in treating adults and new parents, including those experiencing postpartum rage, irritability, and feeling emotionally overwhelmed. My style is practical and straightforward, focused on what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life and building tools you can use right away — especially when emotions run high.

Commonly Asked Questions

  • Women who have recently given birth can experience depression, anxiety, extreme mood changes, increased irritability, lack of sleep, lack of interest in her new baby, extreme worrying and inability to care for herself.  In more severe cases, a new mom may be experiencing distressing thoughts about harming herself or her child.

  • Many women experience "Baby Blues" soon after having a child, and these symptoms can last up to 2 weeks.  Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD, also known as Postpartum Depression) can occur within the first year after the birth of a child, and causes significant distress for much longer than 2 weeks.  Research shows that new dads, partners and adoptive parents may also experience similar symptoms as well.

  • Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder is treatable, and with time and appropriate support you can start to feel like yourself again.
